We live in the boldest of times, where the cosmic furniture of our lives continues to be arranged and rearranged. We can be curious instead of afraid. I often get asked in a consultation , where does your strength come from?
I will tell you. My strength comes from food. It comes from sleep. It comes from being patient and tender with myself, saying no as much as I say yes, being courageous to unthread the should and should nots, and eating beans on toast on Christmas day, being tender and understanding in my relationships, yet having a lot of tough truthful conversations that either enable deep authenticity, reciprocal sharing of presence, or parting of ways, where that is not possible. It comes from my plant teachers and the land itself, the land has been such a teacher, it strips you back and has the ability to slow you down and impart such profound ,nourishing wisdom like nothing else, it comes from continuous, raw, heartfelt simple prayer, rooted in humility.
The universe is alive, she is walking towards you, not away from you. For me it's not about taking, it's about receiving, and cultivating goodness where I can.
I am not perfect, I am human, its progressive, rather than perfection, knowing that one piece of wisdom, can change everything.
It comes from simplicity, I remember a time, where my my guide she turned to me and said:
“ Shane, You wish to live simply? ( huge pause )
Simplify yourself ”
She laughed and so did I, yet it's such profound wisdom..
None of the above has happened overnight, yet it's happened through living with heart, and Within this heart of mine are stories, tender, raw, powerful stories, of heartbreak, overcoming, joy, the best and worst days of my life.. Yet they are all stories.. Stories of hope and becoming.. We carry and hold them with grace and this becomes alchemised and nurtures that strength.
And lastly always remain teachable x
The Image above always makes me smile, a camp, a few years back, it rained and rained, so much so, the soles of my boots fell apart!
Yet it never rains forever! A powerful metaphor for life x ❤️
