Singing Moon Pilgrimage
We’ll carry song and story across the land
Step into a day of storytelling, ritual, and song under the Singing Moon
Closing out summer with intention
Just after the Autumn Equinox, it serves as a conscious crossing—between seasons
And stepping, together, into what’s next.
Our day will encompass 4.5 miles of walking with frequent stops for story telling and rituals, ceremony and songs, rest and recollections
Stepping Into The Landscape
Pilgrimage has always carried a sense of mystery and adventure for me.
It is both an outer and inner journey — walking the edges of certainty and uncertainty, stepping into the unknown, and awakening deeper wisdom within.
Held in the wild, storied landscape of the Sussex Heathland And Springs..
Pilgrimage isn't an escape. It’s remembering what we are underneath all the noise.
In a time that pulls us apart—fast, fractured, uncertain—pilgrimage has its place.
Not as a retreat from the world, but as a way of meeting it differently. Slower. Closer. More honest.

Pilgrimage Hosts
A Keeper of the Stories of the Land, Song, Alchemy, and the Unseen, will be blessing us with his tales and insights as we walk the pathways we weave together on this day. We are truly blessed to share in this journey together.
Shane Gadd – often called a modern-day seer, mystic, and bridge to the worlds. Some call him a Teacher. Shane calls himself a guide, and at times, a Mirror.
What moves him—and moves the unseen to reach out—is love. Their love for you is the force behind every message, every nudge, every truth offered. And yes, sometimes those truths are sharp. But they are always delivered with care, grace, and an invitation to growth.
Shane’s work is about the roots of yearning, the parts of yourself calling to be seen, healed, and made whole. He walks alongside his clients, helping them step into alignment, clarity, and deeper connection with themselves.
In his early twenties, life threw him off the familiar path. Made redundant on a Friday, he found himself in the Scottish mountains by Monday. Eight weeks of wandering, of silence and solitude, reshaped him. He came back changed—a rite of passage that now informs his work.
Shane is passionate about bringing that alchemy of pilgrimage into our modern, rushed, and uncertain world, helping others reclaim space for transformation, depth, and grace.

The Keeper and Carrier of Songs & Ritual
Jo Holmes will guide you along the threads of our ancestors, through the stories of the land, the songs, and the ceremonies that shape us.
Jojo – Jo Holmes At her heart, Jo is a modern-day medicine woman and change-maker. Mum, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend. Teacher, healer, keeper of stories.
Jo grew up in a home alive with the sound of folk music, where her parents hosted a folk club, filling the house with songs and stories. From this, she inherited a deep passion for preserving the songs of our ancestors, weaving their wisdom into the present.
Jo is many things to many people, as we all are. In her own words: “I have loved and lost, hurt and healed, learned, forgotten, and learned again.”
Her journey as a healer has been long—some might say lifetimes. You’ll often find her sitting in trees, writing poetry, or meditating, while her faithful hound waits patiently nearby. Now that her children have grown, it is her turn to fully walk her path.

Mystery School.
Those who join also gain access to our growing Mystery School community, both online and in person — a modern echo of the old hedge schools, where learning, wisdom, and spiritual exploration were shared quietly beyond the boundaries of conventional thinking.
Centuries ago, in Ireland, ‘hedge schools’ were created as safe havens for the kinds of teaching that went against the grain. Communities would gather in hidden places - often within groves and amongst the hedge ways, hence the name - to share the wisdom rooted in local culture and the spiritual traditions of our lands, rather than conforming to Patriarchy.
Our approach is founded on the same idea: it’s a space for untamed learning/ remembering that seeks to challenge established ways of thinking and being.
